Never heard of Dina Korzun before but I will be looking for her films now. The Russian actress plays the young foreign born girlfriend of an older, many times married and harried, alcoholic, slobbish record producer played by Rip Torn. She's lonely and alone in Memphis. It is better than Russia--she thinks--but Rip Torn's son comes to visit and her little bit of mental health takes a dive. Somehow reminds me of Cassavetes in terms of tone but it is a completely modern film. It was released in 2005- don't miss it. Get the vodka out because it will leave you thinking.
